D-lish scraps JAP Kit 'Caribbean skies'

This one was a little harder for me to get my head around this month. I wanted to work with his image as it was next in the pile (and I didn't have any suitable of my lil guy) so I made it work.

I used the following items from the JAP kit
Grey felt rose (looooove these!!)
Teal resin rose
Yellow striped bag (cut into ticket shape)
Some of the wire around the yellow frame
Grey tag that says 'date' on it ..

Running is very much my sanity release. If I have had a crazy day or can't concentrate - I go pound the pavement. Usually less than 5km right now but still it's movement and it clears the fog.
I also go religiously to park run everyweek where you run a timed 5km course. My PB is 30:18 but I want to beat that time soon! ..

Thanks for looking ..

Kraft+ Challenge March 2015 'all that glitters'

This layout kind of fell together late one night with the 'temper trap' playing on the docking station and a open bottle of moscato next to me. I roughly used the supplied sketch as a guide but the majority of it - happenned!

SC Chevrons and stars have both  been glitterfied.
The red heart and small white flower is from a older d-lish buy up as is the grey glitter tape that started life as white but was hit with some charcoal mist.
Background is Jo Sonya soft gold acrylic paint with clear fine art glitter added to it and then smeared onto the layout and then stitched over.
The gold heart came from a recent workshop wonder event here in Brissy from one of the selling tables.

White .. with 1 March Challenge–Hemlock

An absolutely gorgeous colour that has been playing on my mind all month while I created this layout!  ..

ww1 hemlock

I gained alot of inspiration from this pinterst board to help my layout come together – but you wouldnt know by looking at it!

Background was done using a CW chevron mask  and Jo Sonya’s light sage acrylic paint. The paint and mist splashes in a light sage mist colour.

White resin bow and doiley are from here and this ebay shop.  Alpha is SC wood veneer painted and then had glossy accents put on top.

Now you can go here to see what the rest of the Creative Team at White with 1 have come up with!

D-lish Scraps January Challenge layout

I kept trying to get to upload this to the delish scraps link all of January and didn't quite make it there no matter how hard I tried. It was a frantic month!

I'm just putting it up here, so it at least can be counted as done!

This was done using the 'tutti frutti' JAP (just add paper) kit..

Our inspiration board and sketch if we chose to use it..

This is what came in the kit..

Items used from the kit:
Flamingo flair button
Blue mini flowers
Pink resin flower
Hot pink flower
Yellow dahlia
Green leaves
Green mesh (under flair and flower cluster)
'This is life' card

Orange and White resin feathers, back resin heart, blue resin letters and orange stripe resin dots all from cycloneboonty_pl_gooodies (website:

White .. with 1 February Layout–Celosia Orange

This month the Creative Team at WW1 were very lucky ladies and received product from both Tinby Designs and cycloneboonty_pl_goodies to use on their layouts!

Tinby Designs gifted us all with a sample pot “metallic melts’ that were done in the exact shade of Celosia Orange just for WW1 to use. You can also buy it for the month of February here ..

Cycloneboonty_pl_goodies gifted us all with a packet of amazing resin feathers in white! . You can get them from here and if you mention that you got the link from my blog, a little something extra will be sent to you with them.

This is one of my fav pictures of my lil guy!.. the look on his face is soo very much him!  The journalling is hidden behind the image (like it is almost always with my work). The title is in regards to something that was said to him/me about what his life would be like when hes an adult – “hes going place”. Never one to sit in a corner or to be quiet when he can be exploring, learning or creating havoc!

Why don’t you follow this link and checkout what the rest of the WW1 Creative Team have done for this month, we would love to see you upload your challenge layout in Celosia Orange as well!

Have a Super Day and thanks for stopping by.

Cheers Janet xx

January Layout with White..with 1 - Placid Blue

January was a crazy month for scrapbooking and getting anything done. My family and I moved from 1 state to another just before christmas and are just starting to settle in and find out feet. I have yet to find the local scrapping shop or spotlight - i think my hubby is happy with this.

January's  layout was done as a collaboration between White.. with 1 and sketchabilities.
WW1 supplied the colour and sketchabilities supplied the sketch and they had to be used together!

I had an absolute ball with this layout and used an image I had been storing for a while of a good friends little girl - Alexis. She has the bluest eyes and this was perfect for her!

Layout Details:
Background was washed with Making Memories (yes, that old!) 'cornflour blue' paint and a sponge.
Circles were done using white stickles paint.
Tags and blue paper and white fabric doilies are from the stash.
The white flower is from the current 'Just Add Paper Kit - Coral Glitz Kit at D-lish scraps.
The feathers, bows and birds are all hand poured resin and from this ebay shop.

Why dont you take alook at the rest of the Creative Teams layouts .. and make sure you enter as well for a chance to win some fab prizes!
