White with 1 .. December Layout - Paloma

This colour absolutely screams winter and christmas to me it is a really silvery grey!
Even though our Christmad here in Australia is full of sunshine, heat and icecream! ..

I could resist using this image of my lil folks eating their icecreams and making icecream faces for me at the same time. I dont want them to get any bigger, they are awesome as they are right now.

Items used on this layout:
  • Honeycomb Mask on background mixed with grey paint and gesso for texture and height.
  • Parts of it were also 'swiped' with the same paint mix and a credit card to make it less even.
  • Fonts are by AC Thickers and HS Ghost alpha (from years ago!)
  • The flair is from D-lish scraps in one of their past 'just add paper kits'.
The embellishments of the doily and chevron are from Charms Creations and were gifted to the Creative Team at White.. with 1 for this months layout.  s.

Now for the details ..
  • The flair was gifted to the Creative team from Funky Flair Studio.
  • Most of this layout was the done using cuts from some ancient old HS washi/decorative tape rolls (circa 2007-2008) in yellow and some laser printed paper cutouts for the 2 big tags.
  • The yellow resin butterfly, white PVC doily behind the flair, mini yellow cabbage rose and the paper flowers are all from D-Lish scraps. I seem to shop there ALOT!
  • The yellow symetrical triangle paper was part of a collection from StampinUp!
Why dont you check out the rest of the Creative Teams layouts here and give this amazing colour a try this month! ..

White.. With 1 Challenge (radiant orchid) Oct 2014

This one had me stumped for quite a few days! .. and I set the colour for the challenge - it was all my own doing!

Purple is not usually a colour I work with so it took a lot of thinking and agonising rather than just jumping in. A real challenge for sure.

I dont have much of a stash of anything purple (my girl is a pink and orange fan - I prefer red).
So the choices were very limited on what I had to use so I ended up using some TA Glimmer Mist in
'Pashmina' to have a play on the spotty BB white cardstock background. Just applied it using an eye dropper in big amounts and 'chased' the ink around the page with a straw being careful not to breathe it on or spit on the layout! It came out brilliantly!.

Also included bits & pieces from all over the place including a white paper ball swizzle stick from e2c earlier this year! .. I handmade the dotty flair button using some fabric I had and some sheer organza type netting (think it was from a HS collection YEARS AGO!) was bundled up behind the button using helmar 450 and held in place with a peg until it set.
The bow was made using some d-lish glitter washi tape and just cut & folded into a bow. The clouds are from Studio Calico (I think).

Have you checked out what the rest of the WW1 design team did this month? ..
Lots of different and gorgeous inspiration to be seen!
Thanks for looking :)

Delish Scraps .. September Challenge

This one came together very quickly and focused on my awesome daughter 'pussycat'.
I really enjoyed this layout as it uses some gorgeous colour's that are so versatile on any girly layout.

Plenty of great d-lish goodies used out of the  'pink lemonade' Just Add Paper kit.
Always a good buy for $10.

Items used in the kit were:
  • Glitter Pink Bow
  • 2 journalling Spots
  • 3 hot pink flowers
  • 2 small resin apricot flowers
  • washi was used as the word 'love' in the tag down the bottom and on the flag at the top
  • A tie was made using the pink string on the flag also
  • There is also a line of the light pink bling to the left of the page.
  • Yellow chevron bag under the photo.

Other d-lish items used include:
Yellow resin rose
Small pink resin roses

And this was the inspiration board for the month! ..
