Lots of mixed media fun on this background with smoothing, splatting with distress stains and gesso mixed with stencils. So love how this came out! ..
Tim holtz distress stains in broken China, abandoned coral and picket fence.
HS colour shine in gold.
Gesso mixed with 'jade' acrylic paint ( TCW stencil -mini labyrinth)
Flowers from delish scraps
Flair from funky flair studio
Black flourish, orange heart and Striped resin dots from cycloneboonty_pl_goodies.
This image of my youngest was perfect for this challenge!
And this was what was in the 'just add paper' kit for this month!
The items I used from the kit include:
Paperclip with spotty ribbon
Part of the spotty tissue paper
Yellow resin heart
Parts of the black film strip (down bottom near title)

How could I not do a layout on my lil naughty dude and his antics at the water park! ..
Background features some splatters using Tim Holtz Stain in Mermaid Lagoon and some of the same colour in paint roughly brushed on. If you look closely there is also some white splotches done with a mask and white gesso with shimmer mixed in.
Flowers are from Delish Scraps
The adventure word is from Heidi Swapp and was painted back,
The Blue & White striped enamel dots are from cycloneboonty_pl_goodies

Absoloutely perfect colour to compliment this image of my lil miss! .. Amazing how the green of the grass and the pink stripe on her hat all POP when put with this colour!
Lots of different techniques went into the background! .. lots of fun making a mess with Tim Holtz Stain and the Paint in Raspberry Pink. It matched so well with this challenge colour!
Some tissue paper play was had and was adhered with gel medium. This stuff made the whole layout very heavy!
The damask resin background piece is actually 2 diff colours and was from custom made in those colours by cycloneboonty_pl_goodies. I cut it up to fit where I wanted it to go. It cuts easily using rubber scissors. The reverse damask shapes were also used to add extra depth and to show symmetry!. I added some white string on top to bring it all together.
The flowers were from Delish scraps. They kinda just fell onto the page and the resin feathers and the butterflies (also from cycloneboonty_pl_goodies) in raspberry and white. They added a lil extra.

This image had been sitting in my stash to do for quite a while. It was taken at the end of a big canter/walk/run/sniff/sit time with my greyhound Harper. She was ridiculously tired when I decided to do a 'houndy selfie' but I loved that as soon as it was done - she sniffed my nose (a greyhound version of a kiss) to say - thanks mum.
Used some white muslin at the bag of the image to add some depth, and the circles were cut out of an old sheet of Kaisercraft pattern paper and very randomly sanded.
Small amount of white SC mist was dropped onto it along with some white and sand coloured enamel dots. SC stars are also scattered all over the layout.
Resin bird and white heart are from cycloneboonty_pl_goodies.
The tags and bits are all from my stash.
Why don't you go and see what the rest of the WW1 Creative Team have done with this versatile colour? ..
Thanks for dropping by ..
